DoctorAdvisor.org is an impartial website created by a group of like-minded professionals with the aim to improve patient doctor relationship by encouraging consumers/patients to investigate their choices and for doctors/ health-care providers (Physiotherapists/ Dieticians etc.) to be applauded.
[Even as a doctor myself, I have struggled at times to find the “Right” Specialist/ Healthcare professional for myself or my family members. “Right” is a very subjective term comprising multiple professional attitudes which include not only the clinical skills but also their ethics and human touch.
“Right” doesn't always mean the most famous doctor or most expensive hospital!

DoctorAdvisor.org intends to be an opportunity for patients as well as Health professionals to provide feedback regarding other doctors/ healthcare providers based on their personal/ professional interactions. We aim to empower the individual patients and the community to create a patient-centred health care model by providing a platform for feedback.
DoctorAdvisor.org is an independent website and is not affiliated with any doctor, health provider or insurance network companies.
Listing process for Doctors/ Healthcare Providers - we identify the Healthcare providers in two ways -
1. The advisory board of DoctorAdvisor makes a list of prominent healthcare providers from each speciality/ region and uses a set of objective criteria (Qualification as appropriate/ Years of Experience) to assess their suitability for further evaluation.
Further evaluation is based on subjective criteria based on first hand personal/ professional encounters of editors’ themselves or opinions from other professional colleagues. Many important aspects of professional practice can only be assessed by qualitative methods involving observation and judgment by other colleagues.
The selected Healthcare providers or their representatives are then asked to submit a brief biodata detailing their areas of expertise or the biodata is retrieved from available online resources.
This is a free and independent web-portal and Healthcare providers cannot and are not expected to pay to be in the listing.
2. The patients can also rate as well as recommend a Healthcare professional to the advisory board for consideration for inclusion in the ‘Recommendation’ list. The advisory board will follow a similar process as mentioned above to assess their suitability for inclusion in the ‘Recommendation’ list.
The reviewer should be aware that they are responsible for any comments that they make and their computer IP address will be logged in as per the terms of using the website.
